The event aimed to provide participants with insights on the industry trends involving innovation and technology in mining projects as well as opportunity to network with like-minded individuals/institutions.
A key outcome of the event was that key information was provided by the CS of Mining, Hon. Dan Kazungu on Kenya’s Mining strategy. The event was also graced by the PS for Petroleum, Hon. Andrew Kamau, Sumayya Hassan-Athmani of National Oil Corporation, Bitange Ndemo the former PS for ICT, Jack Mbui of Tata Chemicals Magadi, Moses Njeru of Kenya Chamber of Mines, Assumpta Muhoho of East African Copper and Onchera Maiko the former head of KCB Capital. Also present where Senior Representatives of the Kenya Oil & Gas Association, Petroleum Institute of East Africa and the Geological Society of Kenya. Key sponsors included Atlas Copco, KPMG, Base Titanium, Oraro & Co. Advocates and Acacia. Four innovations were evaluated and advised during the deliberations.
